How Much Does Professional Landscape Lighting Cost in Dallas Fort Worth?
Answer: It depends.
Let me explain. While we cannot give you an exact price until we meet with you, we can give you a general idea of what it will cost you. In general, you can expect to pay anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 for your professionally designed and installed landscape lighting system. That being said, we have installed landscape lighting systems for as low as $2,500 and some that cost well over $50k.
The following factors will impact the overall price of your landscape lighting system.
Design & Layout
Many homeowners get hung up on how many lights they want installed. A professional landscape lighting design is not as much about the number of fixtures installed but more importantly about the effect that the light fixtures produce. In some cases you don’t need as many lights in a particular area that you might think and in other cases, it may take 3-4 lights to accomplish the goal of the lighting design.
So, while the number of lights is a factor in coming up with the end price, it is best to first come up with a landscape lighting design that you like. If the price for that design fits within your budget, then go with it. If not, then you can start to back out lights to get to your budgeted number. That being said, Majestic recommends rather than taking lights out of a design, to just focus on one particular area so that you get the most bang for your buck when it comes to a landscape lighting project. Removing lights from the initial design will compromise the overall look and you may not be as happy with the outcome.
Location
The location of your lights will affect the price. For example, if you have a larger property where the lights are more spread out, we will be using more wire and more labor to install them. If you have tall trees and want “moonlighting” installed, it will also be more wire and more labor to get up the trees. We normally go up approximately 40-50 feet. If you want lights built into steps, walls, columns, driveways, etc., it usually requires multiple trips to prewire so that will also affect the price.

There are many different manufacturers to choose from. All of them have different levels of quality, price points, and warranties. Extras
Our standard landscape lighting systems turn on and off with a digital timer that adjusts for daylight savings. If you want more control via switches, remotes, apps, we can custom tailor any special requests. For example, we can install lights over your basketball area, kids play area, or outdoor kitchen and have those lights on a separate switch so they are not on every night. We even have lights that change colors for holidays and can be controlled individually. We can customize any landscape lighting system to your personal needs.
